Copyrights and Intellectual Property

UKCOA LTD. or its affiliates or licensors are, unless otherwise stated, the owners of all copyright, database and other intellectual property rights in the UKCOA Jobs Platform and its contents, with all rights reserved. This includes, without limitation, copyright and other intellectual property rights in the videos, presentations, photographs, audios, documents, images, buttons, layout and text contained on or in the UKCOA Jobs Platform. Any images that include an "Image Credit" line below should be considered under ownership and copyright of the specified party in the credit and not of UKCOA LTD., its affiliates, licensors or any other party. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, display, perform, modify, create derivative works, transmit, or in any way exploit any such content from the UKCOA Jobs Platform, nor may you distribute any part of this content over any network, including a local area network, sell or offer it for sale, or use such content to construct any kind of database. You may not alter or remove any copyright or other notice from copies of the content on the UKCOA Jobs Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to UKCOA Jobs (the "Platform"), operated by UKCOA LTD. ("UKCOA," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the UKCOA Jobs platform located at ukcoa.co.uk/jobs/ (the "Site"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

UKCOA Jobs is a platform designed to facilitate connections between individuals and businesses seeking freelance work, flexible gigs, and similar opportunities. The Platform allows users to create profiles, search for opportunities, and connect with other users. UKCOA Jobs acts solely as a platform provider and does not directly employ, contract, or endorse any users or job opportunities listed. UKCOA Jobs does not guarantee that users will find work or that employers will find suitable candidates through the Platform. Users are responsible for all aspects of their interactions and agreements made through or as a result of using the Platform.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for a user account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to or use of your account. You must be at least 18 years of age to register for an account on UKCOA Jobs.

4. Acceptable Use and User Conduct

You agree to use the UKCOA Jobs Platform in a responsible and lawful manner, and solely for its intended purpose of connecting individuals and businesses for freelance work and flexible gigs. You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations, including but not limited to laws relating to drugs, illegal substances, controlled goods, or any activities that promote or facilitate illegal acts.
  • Post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Post or transmit unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation, except where explicitly permitted within designated areas of the Platform and in accordance with our separate advertising guidelines.
  • Transmit any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, or any items of a destructive nature.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Platform or the servers or networks connected to the Platform, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations of networks connected to the Platform.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion or feature of the Platform, or any other systems or networks connected to the Platform.
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without their express consent.
  • Use the Platform to discriminate against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the Platform.
  • Use the Platform for purposes of promoting or engaging in commercial activities unrelated to seeking or offering freelance work or flexible gigs, including but not limited to lead generation for your own business, direct marketing of goods or services (unless explicitly permitted by us), or recruitment for roles outside of freelance or gig-based opportunities.
  • Use the Platform to solicit, offer, or engage in interactions that are primarily for personal, dating, escort, or sexual services, or any interactions that are not directly related to legitimate freelance or gig work opportunities.
  • Offer, solicit, or facilitate the exchange of goods or services that are illegal, harmful, or unethical, including but not limited to drugs, weapons, or services that promote or exploit abuse, endangerment, or illegal activities.

UKCOA Jobs reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in UKCOA's sole discretion, violates this Acceptable Use Policy, including without limitation, removing the offending content, suspending or terminating the account of such violators, and taking any actions we deem necessary and appropriate.

5. User Content

Users may be permitted to post content on UKCOA Jobs, including but not limited to profile information, job postings, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting User Content on UKCOA Jobs, you grant UKCOA LTD. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with the UKCOA Jobs Platform and UKCOA's business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the UKCOA Jobs Platform (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant this license for all User Content you submit. You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. UKCOA Jobs does not endorse any User Content and expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with User Content. We reserve the right to remove or refuse to post any User Content for any reason in our sole discretion.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law and consistent with UK legal principles on exclusion clauses, you expressly acknowledge and agree that the UKCOA Jobs Platform is provided entirely "as is" and "as available," without any warranties whatsoever. UKCOA LTD. hereby excludes and disclaims all warranties, conditions, undertakings, and representations of any kind, whether express or implied, statutory or otherwise, relating to the Platform, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, availability, security, compatibility, and non-infringement.

UKCOA LTD. makes no warranty that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. You acknowledge that the entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Platform is with you.

Because the UKCOA Jobs Platform is provided as a platform service, you further expressly acknowledge and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law and consistent with UK legal principles on exclusion clauses, UKCOA LTD., its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, shall not be liable to you under any circumstances whatsoever, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, data, goodwill, or reputation, or for the cost of procurement of substitute goods or services, or any other economic or non-economic loss or damage, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, or any interactions with other users of the Platform, even if UKCOA LTD. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

This complete exclusion of liability applies, but is not limited to, any claims arising from: (i) your use of the Platform; (ii) the conduct of other users of the Platform; (iii) user content; (iv) any agreements or arrangements between users; (v) any cash-in-hand work or payment arrangements; or (vi) any technical malfunctions, errors, or interruptions of the Platform.

You specifically agree that UKCOA LTD. shall have no financial liability to you whatsoever arising from your use of the UKCOA Jobs Platform.

This content is for educational and general informational purposes only, and is subject to change without notice. It does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or other advice, and should not be relied upon for any decision. 9. Intellectual Property

The UKCOA Jobs Platform and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of UKCOA LTD. and its licensors. The Platform is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United Kingdom and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of UKCOA LTD. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, UKCOA LTD. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the UKCOA Jobs Platform for its intended purpose.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at . Sections 6, 9, and 11, and any provisions which by their nature should survive termination, shall survive termination of these Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between UKCOA LTD. and you for any purpose concerning these Terms or the Platform shall be brought exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms of Use

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms of Use on this page. By continuing to access or use our Platform after any revisions are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
